Urgent Search for Missing Girls Last Seen at Spalding Station
Police are appealing to the public for help to trace two missing teenage girls who were last seen in Lincolnshire and are now believed to be travelling much further afield.
Ava and Lexi were both reported missing on Thursday, 5 February. Officers say the pair were seen buying tickets at Spalding Train Station at around 11.10am before leaving the area together.
Initial enquiries suggest the girls travelled towards Peterborough, with ongoing investigations now indicating they may be heading for, or already in, Cornwall. Police have described their disappearance as out of character and say there is growing concern for their welfare.
Officers are urging anyone who may have seen the girls, spoken to them, or has information about their whereabouts to come forward as soon as possible to help locate them safely.
Ava is described as possibly wearing glasses, a black Zanetti jacket, grey tight-fitting bottoms and red, black and white trainers, and she may be carrying a grey backpack. Lexi may be wearing a black jacket with KWD on the breast pocket, tight black bottoms and white trainers, and could be carrying a Marvel backpack featuring Captain America.
Anyone who has seen Ava or Lexi, or who has information that could assist the investigation, is asked to contact police by calling 101 and quoting incident 400 of 5 February.
Update:
It is now reported by Lincolnshire Police that the girls have been found located. Their short statement read:
"We're pleased to update that Ava and Lexi have been found safe and well."
