Detectives Hunt Man After Reported Sexual Assault at Stevenage Railway Station

British Transport Police has released an image of a man officers want to identify following a reported sexual assault at Stevenage railway station.

The incident is reported to have taken place at around 11.40pm on Sunday 19 April inside the station ticket hall.

Detectives say a woman was sexually assaulted before the man later walked out of the station. Officers are now appealing to the public after issuing a CCTV image of a man they believe may be able to assist with the investigation.

British Transport Police said detectives would like to speak to the individual pictured because they believe he may have information relevant to their enquiries.

Anyone who recognises the man is being asked to contact British Transport Police by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 713 of 19 April.

Information can also be provided anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
