Images released after man assaulted on platform at Sheffield station
British Transport Police are appealing for information following an assault at Sheffield railway station and have issued images of people they want to identify as part of their investigation.
The incident took place on Saturday 29 November, sometime between 9.30pm and 10pm, on platform eight. Police say a man and his partner were waiting for a train when they were approached by a group of three individuals who began shouting abuse at them.
During the confrontation, two men from the group assaulted the victim, leaving him with visible bruising and a cracked rib. The attackers then left the area.
Officers believe the individuals shown in the released images may be able to assist with enquiries into what happened and are urging anyone who recognises them to come forward.
