Pitsea Signalling Fault Causes c2c Disruption Until End Of Day

Passengers using c2c services are facing disruption after an earlier signalling fault at Pitsea blocked all lines through the station.

The issue means trains serving Pitsea may still be be cancelled, delayed or revised while the service recovers.

c2c has arranged ticket acceptance to help passengers make alternative journeys. Tickets can currently be used at no extra cost on Greater Anglia services between London Liverpool Street and Southend Victoria in both directions.

Passengers can also use London Underground services between London Fenchurch Street and Upminster in both directions. There is also some ticket acceptance still arranged on some local bus services.

Anyone planning to travel should be aware that ticket acceptance and alternative arrangements may change or be withdrawn at short notice. Passengers are advised to check with their operator before setting off.

Journey updates are available through the National Rail Enquiries real-time Journey Planner.

Disruption is currently expected to continue until the end of the day.
