Police Release Image After 16-Year-Old Attacked by Man on Dorset Rail Service

Detectives have released an image following an assault involving a teenage passenger on a train travelling through Dorset.

The incident happened shortly after 6pm on Sunday 19 April on a service travelling from London Waterloo station to Poole railway station.

According to investigators, a man and woman became involved in an argument with a 16-year-old boy while on board the train. Police say the man then assaulted the teenager before leaving the service at Bournemouth railway station.

British Transport Police officers believe the man shown in the released image may be able to assist with enquiries and are appealing to the public for help identifying him.

Anyone who recognises the man is asked to text 61016 or call 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 494 of 19 April. Information can also be provided anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
