West Coast Main Line Disruption As Bridge Collapse Hits Nuneaton To Rugby Route
Passengers using services between Nuneaton and Rugby are facing major disruption after a bridge partially collapsed, blocking all lines through the area.
The incident means trains running between the two stations may be cancelled, delayed by up to 60 minutes or diverted via Birmingham.
Services may also be started or terminated on either side of Nuneaton or Rugby, while some trains may not complete their full journeys.
The disruption is affecting several operators and routes, including:
• Avanti West Coast between Glasgow Central / Blackpool North / Preston / Holyhead / Wrexham General / Chester / Liverpool Lime Street / Manchester Piccadilly / Crewe / Wolverhampton and London Euston
• London Northwestern Railway between Crewe and Rugby / Northampton / London Euston
• Lumo between Stirling and London Euston
Passengers are being urged to check before travelling, as service patterns may change at short notice throughout the day.
Anyone planning to travel on the route should keep checking online journey planners for the latest information before setting off.
Operators have arranged extensive ticket acceptance for affected passengers, but travellers should confirm the latest arrangements before beginning their journey.
Major disruption is currently expected to continue until the end of the day.
