White Hart Lane Assault: Man in His 60s Knocked Unconscious at Station
British Transport Police have released images of four men they want to speak to after an assault at White Hart Lane Overground station.
The incident happened just before 5pm on Saturday 18 April, as a man in his 60s was leaving the station with friends on their way to a football match.
Officers said the group became crowded by opposing supporters. During the incident, one of the man’s friends was shoved and pulled around by two men, causing his glasses to fall to the floor.
When the man in his 60s tried to step in and help his friend, he was punched without warning in the back of the head by another man.
He fell to the floor at the top of the stairs and lost consciousness for a few seconds. Police said a fourth man then stopped another friend from intervening against the person who had thrown the punch.
All four men then left the station.
Officers believe the men pictured may have information that could help the investigation.
Anyone who recognises them is asked to contact British Transport Police by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 490 of 18 April.
Information can also be passed anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
