Birmingham New Street to Wolverhampton Rail Disruption Continues After Emergency Incident

All lines have reopened between Birmingham New Street and Wolverhampton after emergency services safely dealt with an earlier incident on the route.

Although trains are now able to run again, services are still recovering and passengers may continue to face disruption.

Trains between Birmingham New Street and Wolverhampton may still be delayed by up to 60 minutes, cancelled or revised while operators work to return the timetable to normal.

National Rail Enquiries recently posted on X:

The emergency services have now safely dealt with the earlier incident between Birmingham New Street and Wolverhampton, allowing all lines running between these stations to reopen.

Major disruption is expected to continue until at least 17:30.

Some operators have put ticket acceptance arrangements in place for affected passengers.

Passengers are being reminded that ticket acceptance can be withdrawn at short notice, and should always check with their operator before travelling.
