Man Sought Over Leicester Square Underground Robbery Incident
Detectives have released an image following an attempted robbery at Leicester Square Underground station in the early hours of the morning.
The incident happened at around 3.45am on Sunday 5 May when a man was walking through the station.
According to investigators, another man approached the victim and grabbed at his necklace, pulling hard enough to break it. The victim was then allegedly pushed to the floor before the suspect fled the scene.
British Transport Police officers believe the individual shown in the released image may be able to assist with enquiries and are appealing for the public’s help in identifying him.
Anyone who recognises the man is asked to text 61016 or call 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 378 of 6 April. Information can also be passed anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
